Champion Independent Breweries

The top Independent Brewery of each size bracket is awarded a Champion Independent Brewery Award. This is determined by calculating the points of the brewery's top four beer entries.

Brewpubs are an integral part of the independent beer sector and often become hubs for their local communities. To recognise the contribution of brewpubs, in 2019 the IBA introduced the Champion Australian Brewpub Trophy, open to breweries that sell at least 75% of their beers on-site.
