victorian hop farms tour CANCELLED

UPDATE FROM HPA

Information on Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19) for HPA brewing partners and distributors.

Hop harvest is the busiest and most important time of year for HPA. Each year we look forward to welcoming our brewing partners and distributors on farm, and showing them the fields and facilities that we are so very proud of.

Unfortunately, due to the current situation surrounding Coronavirus we have made the difficult decision that we will not be allowing any international or Australian visitors on our farms for the remainder of harvest, effective immediately.

This will be in effect until at least 30 April 2020. While there is currently no immediate threat to our employees or our business operations, we are choosing to act early in order to keep it that way so that harvest can proceed as planned.

We have a duty of care to our employees, whose health is crucial to the completion of a successful harvest. This decision is intended to minimise the risk of an unnecessary interruption to harvest, and ensure we deliver the same quality hops our brewing partners have become accustomed to by getting this year’s crop into their hands as soon as possible.

If you had a farm tour scheduled this harvest, we apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and genuinely hope that you will consider visiting us next year.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, concerns or worries.

Sincerely, Tim Lord Managing Director

visit the hop farms during the hustle and bustle of harvest

Hop Products Australia (HPA) invite you to join them for a tour of their Victorian farms and facilities during the hustle and bustle of harvest. Experience the journey from paddock to pint by starting the day with a guided tour of Rostrevor Hop Gardens, then enjoy lunch at The Old Factory before heading to Buffalo River Valley for behind the scenes access to their first commercial harvest. You will also have time to bask in a world class breeding garden, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with hops on the bine. It's a bit of a trek, but High Country Victoria is a beautiful place with lots of breweries, so why not make the most of it and stay a night or two. If you're looking for recommendations on places to eat, drink , stay or play visit Explore our Regions.  See you on the farm!
